Drew Valley
was developed in 1954 by Norwood Realty. Once the
wilderness territory that divided the Cherokee and Creek
Native American tribes, the land is now the site of Drew
Valley and its sister neighborhood, Wawona Forest. Over
800 homes comprise these neighborhoods in DeKalb
County. The neighborhood features classic brick cottages and
ranches of 1,300-1,500 square feet that typically
include hardwood floors, three bedrooms and one a half
baths. However, many residents have chosen to renovate
or rebuild homes to create additional bedrooms, stories
or square footage.
Drew Valley
remains a quiet, tucked-away and family-friendly
neighborhood in DeKalb
County that enjoys a heavily-wooded, residential
feel in addition to a convenient location within I-285.
Many residents have chosen Drew Valley in order to enjoy
a safe, quiet neighborhood without sacrificing the
convenience of being within the perimeter and minutes
away from 400, I-285, Downtown
Atlanta and the MARTA
public transportation system. This community is
conveniently located near both the Brookhaven
and Chamblee
MARTA Stations.
Drew
Valley
is primarily served by the following DeKalb
County Schools:
Montclair
Elementary School
Sequoyah Middle School
Cross
Keys High School
